As a Curro School, we have created a safe, modern environment where children can grow accustomed to learning and working with modern equipment and facilities. Our classrooms are designed to create a feeling of learning through educational decorations, but without causing undue distraction. STEAMD classrooms and classrooms for specialised subjects such as Engineering Graphics and Design and Innovation are equipped with the latest technology and tools that provide learners with 21st-century skills and allow them to interact with the learned material through experiments or projects.
We use tablets in class (2-in-1 devices)
Curro Waterfall is a Microsoft partner school, engaging with the Microsoft 365 program and its educational platform. Learners have full access to Wi-Fi and benefit from document cameras and SMARTboards. Learners also use tablets in class (2-in-1 devices) rather than textbooks. By using tablets in class and exposing learners to the daily use of technology, they are equipped with 21st-century skills and better prepared for the challenges of tertiary studies as well as the ever-changing workplace of the future.
We have STEAMD classrooms
As a Curro School, our STEAMD classrooms are equipped with all the tools needed for activities such as 3D printing, laser cutting and virtual reality.
Our wide variety of activities and events, many of which form part of the school fees, are hosted on state-of-the-art courts and fields to promote the development of 21st-century skills.
Our activity facilities include:
We encourage parents to play a role in managing our school through a duly-elected parent teacher association (PTA). As the name indicates, the PTA’s role is strictly an advisory one – they do not make and enforce decisions regarding school matters or school fees. The committee comprises of teachers and parents of current children.
At Curro Waterfall our PTA acts as liaison between the school and parents, raise funds through specific events throughout the year and host social and fellowship events. Through the PTA, parents can share their input in a structured manner to the benefit of the learners and school; as a community they can, therefore, be involved in the operational success of the school.
