Aftercare

Our aftercare service is available for learners from Grade R to Grade 4, at an additional cost, as stipulated on our school fees letter (see Downloads). Learners are accommodated in safe classrooms and playgrounds, and the fees include a freshly prepared meal for lunch, homework support, fun playtime and educational worksheets.

School transport

At Curro Secunda, our school transport service is available to learners travelling to and from our school, at an additional cost, as stipulated on our school fees letter.

Modern classrooms

As a Curro School, we have created a safe, modern environment in which children can grow accustomed to learning and working with modern equipment and facilities. Our classrooms are designed to create a feeling of learning through educational decorations, but without causing undue distraction. Classrooms for specialised subjects, such as Natural Sciences and Technology (including Robotics), are equipped with the latest technology and tools that provide learners with 21st-century skills and allow them to interact with the learned material through experiments or projects. Other excellent classrooms include a Robotics lab, Science lab, and fully equipped IT classroom.

We use tablets in class

We aim to embrace 21st-century skills at our Curro School by incorporating the use of tablets in class from the intermediate phase onwards. Using tablets in class allows teachers to provide learners with a wealth of information at the touch of a button and prepares them for the workplace of the future.

Activity facilities

Our wide variety of activities and events is hosted on state-of-the-art courts and fields to promote the development of 21st-century skills. Our sports facilities are accessible to primary and high school learners. Our well-equipped and spacious music school allows learners to be taught using a variety of instruments and techniques, to develop their skills.

Situated in a residential area of Secunda, Mpumalanga, our school is easily accessible from Nelson Mandela Drive and Coen Brits Street, and close to the beautiful Trichardspruit. Other nearby attractions include the Aviation Junction Flying School, the Sasol Recreation Club and the Graceland Golf Club. Curro Secunda is also conveniently close to the Secunda Mall, for all your shopping needs, and we are just a stone’s throw away from the Medforum hospital and Trichard Mediclinic to further ensure the safety of the children. We also offer school transport to our learners.
