Our aftercare service is available at an additional cost, as stipulated on our fees letter. Children are accommodated in safe classrooms and playgrounds, and the fees include a freshly prepared meal as well as a snack.
Early drop-off and holiday care
Our preschool accommodates working parents by allowing children to be dropped off early in the morning. To ensure our children’s safety, they remain in class – or at aftercare – until they are picked up. Furthermore, children who attend aftercare may attend our holiday programme at no additional cost. Other children may attend at a daily fee. Regular activities would continue in small class sizes, although we may arrange some extra fun activities during this time.
Teachers have assistants
As a Curro School, our classes are divided by age group and each teacher has one or more assistants, depending on the age group and number of children in the class. There are often more assistants for the younger ones, all included in the school fees, to ensure that each child in our small class sizes get the necessary love and attention.
Children wholeheartedly run, climb, and play in ways that could sometimes lead to bumps and scrapes. They might also fall ill during the day. That is why we have a registered nurse on-site during the school day, whose services are available as part of our school fees. Several teachers also have first-aid training.
Indoor and outdoor play areas
Children learn by interacting with the world around them. As a Curro School, our classrooms themselves are considered to be inanimate teachers of sorts. They are designed to allow maximum room for play and movement while being stimulating on a visual and tactile level. An additional indoor play area allows a change in play space on days that the weather doesn’t allow outdoor play.
Our outdoor preschool play areas include jungle gyms, playhouses, shaded areas for creative and sensory play, and more. These areas are designed to encourage physical play, and generally have synthetic grass to prevent allergic reactions. Children are taken outside to play on days with moderate weather conditions to prevent excessive cold or sunburn. Additional safety measures are taken on sunny days.
How do we ensure safety in our school?
As a Curro School, our strict security measures ensure the safety of our children. Access to the campus is restricted through biometric access. Visitors need to sign in to gain access and the number of visitors per class is limited and children are collected from the classroom. We also have a registered auxiliary nurse on-site who looks after the health of our children.
