Curro George Primary School
Curro George is an independent Curro School in George that provides high-quality education to learners from Grade R to Grade 3, with higher grades phasing in annually. With small class sizes, dedicated teachers, and an enhanced curriculum, we empower learners with 21st-century skills and knowledge to grow into high-performing, self-confident individuals who are ready to become the leaders of the future. We provide our learners with only the best learning material and activities, and even provide them with lunch as part of the school fees.
Foundation phase: Grade R to Grade 3
With dedicated teachers and small class sizes, our foundation phase starts by providing the emotional and intellectual foundation required to handle the formal learning that starts in Grade 1. We then gradually develop learners’ skills and knowledge in basic areas such as language (comprehension, speaking, and listening), mathematics (counting and understanding numbers), and creative problem-solving in an environment where they enjoy coming to school. Through our enhanced curriculum, learners are introduced to project-based learning and they gain 21st-century skills through subjects such as Robotics.
Intermediate phase: Grade 4 to Grade 7
As higher grades are phased in annually, a Grade 4 class is planned to be available from 2022. Learners in our small class sizes will be taught to work with the learned material in an abstract manner and the nature of the content will gradually build to become more intellectual and abstract. As a Curro School, our learners will follow an enhanced curriculum introducing them to 21st-century skills such as Robotics and using tablets in class.

We use tablets in class
Once phased in, our intermediate phase learners would have the option to use tablets in class rather than textbooks. By exposing learners to the daily use of technology, they are better prepared for the challenges of tertiary studies as well as the ever-changing workplace of the future.
Homework is done at school
We value the importance of family-time, and understand that evenings are often the only time that parents have to spend quality time with their children. Therefore, all homework is done during a compulsory session after school. Learners receive partial assistance and are accommodated in safe, comfortable classrooms during this time.
Curro George activities
As a Curro School, we believe that participation in cultural activities plays an important role in developing a well-rounded learner and promoting friendship and self-confidence. Therefore, our focused cultural activities are designed to help learners discover their inherent talents, or to broaden their exposure beyond their current reference framework. Our learners benefit from physical development and introduction to sports on campus through a private company.
Furthermore, our scope of activities expands annually as the interests of our learners become clear.
