Curro Castle Parkdene
Curro Castle Parkdene is an independent nursery school in Parkdene, Boksburg, that provides quality early childhood development for children from 16 months to 5 years. We aim to provide affordable school fees and small class sizes that engage each child in our internally developed play-based curriculum.
What does Curro Castle Parkdene offer?
As a Curro Castle, we provide a safe, nurturing environment where children are cared for and engaged in play-based developmental activities. Through affordable school fees, our classrooms are designed to encourage educational curiosity, while our playgrounds are equipped with play structures that inspire physical development through movement and play. Our small class sizes are divided by age group, which allows our teachers to spend quality time with each child.
How do we support your child’s development?
At our nursery school, our internally developed programme is designed with the Early Learning and Development Areas (ELDAs) in mind. This approach to early childhood development aims to stimulate physical, social, emotional and cognitive well-being through developmental activities and engaging play areas. ELDAs focus on aspects such as gross motor development, fine-motor development, social awareness, communication, spatial awareness and arts.
We focus on early childhood development through the ELDAs
As a Curro Castle, we incorporate the latest research in physical and cognitive development. Our small class sizes, carefully-designed playgrounds, safety measures and daily programmes make our nursery school a safe and fun-filled home away from home – all part of our commitment to affordable school fees.

Curro Castle Parkdene activities
As a Curro Castle, we believe that participation in extramural activities plays an important role in early childhood development. Our daily programme is packed with a variety of physical and cognitive activities where children play while they learn. Extramural activities are offered as additional opportunities to strengthen focused areas or hone certain skills. Our extramural activities are offered by external tutors or coaches at an additional cost and take place on the school’s premises.

Curro Castle Parkdene community outreach
At our school, we invite Early Childhood Development students from Parkdene and surrounding areas to apply for completing their workplace integrated learning (practical) at our nursery school. By providing valuable workplace experience, we are helping to uplift our community.
