Matthew Hayden

Curro is so great, some alumni just can’t help but return! This is certainly true for Matthew Hayden – one of the newest members of Curro’s dynamic centralised marketing team and former learner of Curro Durbanville – Class of 2018.

Matthew has just graduated from Stellenbosch University and is now ready to take on new responsibilities and challenges, but he is no stranger to the marketing team. No, he has worked as an intern in the department while still studying and for the rest of the team it’s great to see a familiar face.

Matthew’s first ‘Curro love’ however, is not the marketing department but Curro Durbanville. ‘I vividly remember showing up at school and seeing this MASSIVE jungle gym. I sprinted towards it and next thing I knew; my parents were waving goodbye.’ And that was the start of it all, Matthew’s Curro journey. His school highlights include drama productions and Curro Nationals, to name but a few and he thoroughly enjoyed his time at school.

This up-and-coming young marketing guru is inspired by his friends; they have taught him that there is so much in life to be enjoyed. ‘I want to become successful in any field that I venture into. I want to make a difference in any and every capacity, no matter how big or small!’ His hope for the future of South Africa is simple – that heritage is celebrated, that the people are happy and that sustainability is at the forefront.

We are so lucky to have Matthew back at Curro!
