Curro Online’s Jahzara Ranjith wins The Taste Master Junior SA
29 October 2024Curro Online's Grade 9 learner Jahzara Ranjith has earned a historic achievement by being crowned the first-ever champion of The Taste Master Junior SA. Competing on SABC2’s new show. Jahzara demonstrated exceptional skill and creativity in the kitchen, showcasing baking techniques apparently inspired by her grandmother’s wisdom. Her victory is a personal triumph as well as a proud moment for the Curro community.

Throughout the competition, Jahzara wowed the judges by blending traditional flavours with modern baking techniques, standing out for her dedication and natural talent. ‘Princess Pie’ (as she is known to her family) credits her success to their support and the skills her grandmother passed down. While reflecting on her journey, she shared how important it was to represent her family’s culinary heritage while pushing her limits in each challenge.

The prize package included a year’s supply of Clover products among other rewards, a dream come true for any young chef. For those who missed her final performance, The Taste Master Junior will air a repeat episode on Sunday at 16:00 on SABC2, and viewers can also catch it on SABC Plus for online streaming.
Congratulations to Jahzara on this incredible accomplishment, and Curro Online is excited to see what’s next for this young chef!
