Curro Academy Pretoria Matric 2022

You had a bear celebrity with a special bear identity, who helped you forget your worries and your strife. Matric is an important and often stressful year, but it’s also a time to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Your school’s teddy shared in the experience!

Let’s hear it from your head boy and girl

Head boy: Arthur Kalenga

I’d like to thank the Class of 2022 at Curro Academy Pretoria for electing me as their head boy. It has been a privilege and great honour to represent the school in this position. I’d also like to thank my fellow head leaders and learner council members for each and every sacrifice made during the year. Your dedication and commitment have been exemplary. Your attitude towards duties and tasks is to be admired and it has been a pleasure to work with each one of you.

To all the learners of Curro Academy Pretoria, I want to encourage you to always strive for excellence. You were not created to be mediocre, so never settle for anything less than you are worth. You are destined for greatness, so let us go out and be great!

Head girl: Chantelle Shoko

High school is a place where you really build character and lays the foundation for the type of person you aspire to be in future. My high school environment has really moulded me into a world-beater and for that I will be forever grateful. I want to thank the learner council and the school for electing me and giving me the opportunity to be this year's head girl. This position has given me the platform and opportunity to grow and be confident in my skills as an individual and as a team leader. I am immensely grateful to God and every single learner, friend and teacher who have made my school journey one to surely remember.

Lastly, to this year's matric group, I wish you all the utmost best in your final exams and all your future endeavours, dreams, goals, and aspirations. Whether it's in a boardroom, classroom or office, I believe that you will make the school proud. My advice to all of you is to always be humble. Treat each person you meet with respect. In this world we are going into people can open doors for you, but they can also close them, so make sure your character is that of love and humility. ‘Those who exalt themselves are humbled and those who humble themselves will be exalted.’  – Luke 14:11
