You had a bear celebrity with a special bear identity, who helped you forget your worries and your strife. Matric is an important and often stressful year, but it’s also a time to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Head girl: Botlhale Kebotlhale 

My journey through high school has been like an airplane flight. It took off in Grade 8 and comprised of a long, and sometimes bumpy, journey to get to my final destination. Even though in many ways I am still the same person who walked through those school gates in Grade 10, I have also grown into a better version of myself – especially with the adversities that come with a typical high school experience.  

High school is all about becoming your true self and finding your path. It's about making mistakes and learning from them – learning how to respond to perceived failure and common errors. To the Class of 2023, there are no elevators to success, you have to take the stairs. It takes sweat, determination and hard work. Don't be afraid to start over. This time you’re not starting from scratch, you are starting from experience. You have the power to change your story. 

 

Head boy: Zuhair Hoosainâ 

Throughout this high school journey, I have grown as an individual and learnt so much from those around me. The lessons I learnt are tokens that I will carry with me. It has been an honour to be a head boy to a group that has so much potential. The Class of 2022 stood up when they fell and helped one another when it mattered most. 

To the management and staff of Curro Academy Mahikeng, thank you for your ongoing support and belief in us. Without you none if this would be possible. To the Class of 2022, as we near the end let us work and put in all that we have for these last few months. To those after us, learn from our mistakes and give matric all you have; before you know it, the year will have passed. Enjoy the roller-coaster, enjoy the butterflies and let the vision you have for your future fuel your efforts and desires.
