Curro Academy Clayville Matric 2022

You had a bear celebrity with a special bear identity, who helped you forget your worries and your strife. Matric is an important and often stressful year, but it’s also a time to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Your school’s teddy shared in the experience!

Let’s hear it from your head girl and boy

Head girl: Mbalenhle Mkhatshwa

There is no such thing as a failure except in no longer trying. It doesn't matter how slowly you go, as long as you do not stop. Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn. You just can't beat the person who won't give up.

It is not easy to be in Grade 12, but you can make it easy for yourself. The one question you should always ask yourself is not ‘who is going to let you?’ but ‘who is going to stop you?’ Always remember that only you determine what happens to YOU. Stay kind and never give up!

Head boy: Phuti Mokgohloa

When we first started high school, all we ever wanted was to finish it and be on our way. We never thought that we would create bonds with the people next to us in class. Bonds that we would cherish and protect. Bonds that go beyond friendship. Bonds that are filled with laughter, happiness, sadness, tires, conflict and cooperation. Bonds that are filled with happy memories – memories such as playing Kahoot as a class, playing bomb squad as boys, losing our first-ever Curro Cup match 6-0 … and so on.

Now as we reach our final stage in high school, the stage that we wanted to reach in the first place, we start becoming scared of losing those bonds that we built. We start realising that it wasn’t about the destination but the journey. We start maximizing every moment we have with one another. These past few days we as matriculants have tried cherishing our last days together by ‘creating’ school events (such as dressing up or acting a certain way), just to have a little fun, in hopes of creating memories that will last us a lifetime.
