Parents play an integral role in the development and success of their children’s schooling journey, as well as their lives beyond textbooks. At Curro, we understand that this could be a daunting task, especially if you are a first-time parent. Or, perhaps you want advice on how to be a great source of support for your child – we want to help you through it.
Curro’s Learning Support team created a series of webinars that cover a range of helpful topics, from supporting mental health for your family and navigating the digital world, to understanding complicated academic terminology and juggling work and parental responsibilities. There’s also addressing the fear of failure, advice on good nutrition, supporting gross motor skills at home, conversations around school readiness and many, many more.

In this recent video, Samantha Rottaro (educational psychologist) shares how you can recognise signs that your child might be bullied, when and how to report concerns, what to expect from the school's response, and how to support your child emotionally throughout.
What else does the Curro Learning Support team do?
We work with experts in the Curro school group on creating and sharing resources for teachers and school management teams – and soon, resources for you as well (starting with these webinars, of course).
Here are just some of the resources and tools we plan on providing to either teachers or parents:
- Tips and tools on the use of technology
- Steps to manage concessions and assessment accommodations
- Professional learning communities for teachers
- Guides and editable communication templates
- Intervention plans and progress tracking
- Evaluating global best practices for the benefit of learners at all Curro schools
