Curro Academy Savanna City has a primary school in De Deur, Vereeniging, that accommodates learners from Grade R to Grade 7. Our dedicated teachers, small class sizes and enhanced curriculum empower learners with skills and knowledge to grow into high-performing, self-confident individuals and to reach their personal, educational and eventual-workplace goals.
Foundation phase: Grade R to Grade 3
Our foundation phase starts by providing the emotional and intellectual foundation required to handle the formal learning that starts in Grade 1. Through our enhanced curriculum provided in small class sizes, we then gradually develop learners’ 21st-century skills and knowledge in basic areas such as language (comprehension, speaking, and listening), mathematics (counting and understanding numbers), and creative problem-solving in an environment where they enjoy coming to school.
Learners even benefit from being introduced to Robotics through Duplo Lego and having Afrikaans as an additional language option. Our specialised programmes in Grade R also include GeoGenius, which teaches young learners at our Curro Academy school the basics of geometry by playing and building with three-dimensional objects of different sizes, shapes and elasticity.
Intermediate phase: Grade 4 to Grade 7
In these grades, learners are taught to work with the learned material in an abstract manner. The nature of the content gradually builds from being tangible and real, to more intellectual and abstract. Our small class sizes and enhanced curriculum provide learners with an inherent dedication to hard work and excellence as well as 21st-century skills to prepare them for the workplace of the future.
As a Curro Academy school, our focussed subjects provide primary school learners with a solid foundation on which to excel in high school and, later on, make subject choices that would benefit their future dreams.

Our activities
Sports and cultural activities
We believe that participation in activities plays an important role in promoting health, discipline, self-confidence and community. Therefore, our focused activities are designed to help learners discover their inherent talents, or to broaden their exposure beyond their current reference framework. Some of our activities are aimed at boosting learners’ cognitive abilities, while others provide pure enjoyment.
We have Curro Create programmes
We also offer Curro Arts Superhero (CAS) as part of the Curro Create initiative. CAS is an internal creative mentorship platform with a grading element, where learners are encouraged to discover, develop and display their inherent creative talents.
