What do we offer?
At Curro Baobab, we offer the excellent Cambridge Primary curriculum, which covers Years 1 to 7. The ages for these Years are similar to what we know as Standards in the Botswanan curriculum. We believe that a healthy, quality education stretches beyond the textbook, which is why we offer a wide range of sports and cultural activities – some of which even complement the subjects we are. Chess, for example, boosts strategic and problem-solving skills that are applicable in Mathematics, while our environmental club could widen the understanding for Environmental Science in class.
Teaching takes place in English, while Setswana and French are offered as language subjects. Other subjects include Robotics, Coding, music, and more.

What is the Cambridge curriculum?
The Cambridge Assessment International Education (known as the Cambridge curriculum) is an internationally-recognised curriculum that originated at the University of Cambridge in England. It was created to improve the standards of education in England and has since been sought after by schools across the world who long for such a high quality. The available subjects, assessment style and progression system is unique from our local curriculum, and learning takes a ‘spiral’ approach that revisits topics and builds on what was learned before.
We start with a play-based learning approach in the early years, focusing on physical, cognitive, social and emotional, as well as language and communication development areas. Later on, learners are required to handle large writing and reading workloads, challenge their own creativity and collaboration skills, and to display self-discipline, time-management and great responsibility in their work.
