Grade 6 learner Thato Molopyane from Curro Soshanguve is set to travel to the Netherlands in August as part of the TuksFootball U12 team from the University of Pretoria. According to official communication shared with the school, Thato is among twelve players selected to take part in the ATC’65 & Vogido Cup, scheduled for 18 to 25 August 2025.
School confirms selection
The announcement, sent by TuksFootball Juniors Coordinator Kabelo Mokoena, was shared internally with the Curro Soshanguve community. It marks the second major international opportunity for Thato, who also joined TuksFootball’s 2024 tour to Spain while still in Grade 5. His growing football journey reflects both talent and strong developmental support from the school and its sporting partners.
Executive Head Dr Fannie Sebolela shared the school’s pride in Thato’s achievements: ‘It’s always a proud moment to see our learners pursue opportunities that build confidence and character.’
Looking ahead
Tournament details are expected to be published closer to the event. In the meantime, Curro Soshanguve continues to support Thato’s development and looks forward to seeing him take the field in Europe.
