Triston Spencer races to victory in 424 Cross Country opener
04 July 2025Triston Spencer, a high school learner at Curro Rivonia, secured first place in the high school class at Round 1 of the 2025 424 Cross Country Championship recently in Bronkhorstspruit. The motocross-style event marked the official start of this year’s season and showcased Triston’s growing reputation as a young rider to watch.

Opening the season with impact
The challenging dirt-bike race drew high-level competitors from across the province. Triston impressed both spectators and the media with his control, pace and composure on the track. Reflecting on the experience, he said: ‘It was a tough race, but I stayed focused and gave it my all. I’m really happy with my performance, and I’m excited to keep racing and improving.’
His win was prominently featured in the local media, with coverage highlighting both his race-day performance and his broader potential as a developing motocross athlete.

Triston’s racing season is far from over. He will continue to compete in the upcoming rounds of the 424 Cross Country Championship and is also participating in the GXCC Regionals.
