24 November 2025A Grade R learner from Curro Secunda, Felisa Kutama, has earned Mpumalanga colours after excelling at the South African championships held at John Barrable Hall in Benoni. Her performance in three gymnastics disciplines highlights her skill, confidence, and early promise in the sport.

Competing across three disciplines
Tumblenaztix, Benchnaztix, and Trampnaztix are child-friendly categories used in the SAAerialNaztix gymnastics programme, introducing young athletes to tumbling, bench-based balance work, and trampoline skills. They provide an accessible way for children to develop coordination, strength, and confidence across multiple gymnastics disciplines.
The SAAerialNastix draws young gymnasts from provinces such as Gauteng, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga, with disciplines that align with common competitive formats within Gymnastics South Africa structures.
She placed first in all her categories, earning her provincial colours – an achievement that reflects her strong start in gymnastics.
Provincial colours are a significant milestone for any young athlete in South Africa, signalling standout performance and potential in their sporting pathway.
The school added, ‘Your Curro family is incredibly proud of you, Felisa! Keep reaching for the stars!’
