Curro Delft Learners Shine in Handball World Cup

Five learners from Curro Delft, Cape Town, participated in the 50th Interamnia Handball World Cup that was held in Teramo, Italy this past two weeks. Our learners form part of the team travelled with the help of the Thunderbolts Academy.

The team placed as the first runner-up, but the Southern Africa Handball (Zone 6) president was so impressed with their performance that they were invited to play in Zambia later on!

This handball tournament, a platform for teams from around the world to compete at the highest level, offered Curro Delft learners an exceptional experience to interact with different cultures and gain exposure to the global sports arena. This exposure aligns perfectly with Curro Delft's commitment to providing diverse opportunities that prepare its learners for the challenges of the real world.

Handball, basketball, and netball have many similarities, with the great difference between the three being that handball allows physical contact during play.
