Curro Bloemfontein learner’s double win at the All Black Freestyle and Disco Dance Festival.
25 March 2026Two championship titles went to Lesedi from Curro Bloemfontein at the All Black Freestyle & Disco Dance Festival, where she topped both freestyle and slowdance categories in her age group.
Lesedi secured victory in both the U9 Girls Championship Slowdance Solo and U9 Girls Championship Freestyle Solo, achieving a double title in her age group at the regional competition.

Two championship wins on stage
The All Black Freestyle & Disco Dance Festival brings together dancers from studios and schools across the region to compete in freestyle and disco dance categories.
Lesedi’s results included:
- 1st place – U9 Girls Championship Slowdance Solo
- 1st place – U9 Girls Championship Freestyle Solo
‘A big congratulations to Lesedi for her incredible performance at the All Black Freestyle & Disco Dance Festival held in Bloemfontein this past weekend,’ the school said.
Freestyle dance combines jazz, disco and street dance influences with energetic choreography. Slowdance places emphasis on musical interpretation, control and expressive performance. Judges evaluate technique, rhythm and stage presence across these disciplines.

Dance competitions such as the All Black Festival form part of the broader performing arts environment in Bloemfontein, where young dancers gain experience through regional events before advancing to larger competitions.
