We have our own on-site radio station at Curro Helderwyk

Curro Helderwyk launches on-site learner-managed radio station. All production, presenter, DJ and radio operational roles are assumed by Curro Helderwyk’s own learner talent.

2021 has proven to be a milestone year for Curro Helderwyk as the independent school not only celebrates its 10th birthday this year but is also launching its learner-managed radio station.

Living The Dream Radio Station is on-site and run by the learners, for the learners.

This means that all production, presenter, DJ and radio operational roles are assumed by Curro Helderwyk’s learner talent.

Aside from the fun and educational element of managing a radio station, this facility opens many doors for learners looking to pursue careers in the media space.

“We are excited for this new facility at our school, and there is certainly no better time to celebrate our radio station than in 2021,” said Roy Hellenberg, executive head at Curro Helderwyk.
