Curro Salt Rock Wins Annual Best School Award

Curro Salt Rock’s preschool won this year’s Best of Ballito Readers’ Choice Awards for the second consecutive year, while their primary and high school phases placed second in their respective categories. The North Coast Courier, a community newspaper in this Durban suburb, runs an annual competition where any school in the area can be nominated as the best school per phase.

Finalists are determined solely by readers’ nominations, and voting took place online – with only one vote allowed per IP address. This means that readers could vote only once, which means that the Curro Salt Rock community really believe in what they are doing!

Chantelle Smith, Head of Preschool, believes that the Curro preschool approach to early childhood development greatly contributed to this award. ‘Children are naturally curious beings, and it is our responsibility as educators to nurture their innate sense of awe and wonder. Our passionate and dedicated professionals strive to create an awe-inspiring environment to spark children’s imagination, creativity and love for learning.’
