Curro learners reach global stage at Teen Entrepreneurship World Cup
17 October 2025Curro Bloemfontein community can celebrate the achievements of Mosa Letsoela, who represented Curro at the Teen Entrepreneurship World Cup 2025 in Tbilisi, Georgia, as part of the Tee Sisters team. The team presented their business ideas, which included a fast-selling book From Classroom to Boardroom and a personalised gifting and flowers venture. They also secured two United Nations SDG awards, for Goal 1 (No Poverty) and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities).

Competing on the world stage
The Tee Sisters, previously making history by placing South Africa third in 2024, once again flew the South African flag among entries from over 30 countries. Their selection placed them among the top 10 teams that competed in September. In this year’s lineup, team members included Onalerona Tsiane and Mosa Letsoela from Curro Bloemfontein, while Warona Tsiane and Omphile Pitse joined the initiative but were unable to attend the event.
Innovation meets impact
The team addressed socio-economic challenges through entrepreneurial action. Their work earned recognition through two SDG awards and earned praise as a business that blends creativity with social purpose. It demonstrated how learners can move from ideas to real solutions on international platforms.

Mentorship and leadership support
Behind their success stood the support of Dr. Thabo Pitse, founder of SAGE SA and operating in alignment with EBL Institute of Business and Technology and the University of the Free State. He guides teenage entrepreneurs through the SAGE programme, providing mentorship, business development coaching, and networks for international exposure.

Reflecting on earlier acknowledgement
Earlier this year, government officials publicly congratulated schools whose learners gained recognition for entrepreneurial excellence. Mosa’s achievement now adds to that narrative, reinforcing how school programmes can open doors beyond local confines and into global arenas.
