Early drop-off service and aftercare
We accommodate working parents by allowing children to be dropped off at our preschool early in the morning as part of our affordable school fees, and aftercare children are kept safe and entertained until late in the afternoon. Our aftercare service is available to all our children. They are accommodated in safe classrooms and playgrounds, and the fees include a freshly prepared meal for lunch. Our aftercare remains open during school holidays. Aftercare times can be viewed on our fact sheet.
Our preschool is open during school holidays and runs a full programme as part of our affordable school fees. Regular early childhood development activities continue within small class sizes, although we may arrange some extra fun activities during this time. We are closed only for specified periods.
Teachers have assistants and first-aid training
Our classes are divided by age group and each teacher has one or more assistants, depending on the group – there are more assistants for the younger ones to ensure they each get the necessary love and attention.
Children wholeheartedly run, play, climb, jump, and enjoy other physical activities that often lead to minor bumps and scrapes. Sometimes they may even fall ill during the day. That’s why all our teachers have first-aid training.
As a Curro School, our menu provides well-balanced, wholesome meals, which are freshly prepared in our on-site kitchen, and we carefully accommodate allergies and other dietary requirements. Parents are required to provide snacks.
Indoor and outdoor play areas
Children learn by interacting with the world around them. Therefore, as part of our commitment to early childhood development, our classrooms themselves are considered to be inanimate teachers of sorts. They are designed to allow maximum room for play and movement while being stimulating on a visual and tactile level. Our Cinderella Room fantasy-play area allows a change in play space on days when the weather doesn’t allow for outdoor play.
We encourage children to play
Our outdoor play areas include jungle gyms, play houses, a sandpit, shaded areas for creative and sensory play, and more. Children in our small class sizes are taken outside to play on days with moderate weather conditions to prevent excessive cold or sunburn. Additional safety measures are taken on sunny days.
