Early drop-off times
As a Curro School, we accommodate working parents by having an early drop-off time in the morning. In addition, children enrolled for the full-day option remain in class or designated safe play areas until late in the afternoon.
Our preschool remains open during school holidays and run a full holiday-care programme as part of our school fees. Regular early childhood development activities continue, although we may arrange some extra fun activities during this time. We are closed only for a specified period during December and January.
Teachers have assistants
At our preschool, classes are divided by age group and each teacher has one or more assistants, depending on the group and number of children in the class. There are often more assistants for the younger ones, all included in the school fees, to ensure that each child in our small class sizes get the necessary love and attention. This way, all children receive the same level of love and nurturing that they would at home.
Teachers have first-aid training
Children wholeheartedly run, play, and climb during the day, which might sometimes lead to minor bumps and bruises. This is why all teachers at our school have first-aid training and regularly attend training to ensure that their skills and certification remain updated. This is part of our commitment to excellent, safe care of all children, as we are a Curro School.
As a Curro School, our on-site kitchen is fully equipped to prepare well-balanced, wholesome meals and snacks for children in all age groups. All meals are prepared with fresh ingredients just before being delivered to the classrooms and we carefully accommodate allergies and other dietary requirements.
Indoor and outdoor play areas
Children learn by interacting with the world around them. Therefore, our classrooms themselves are considered to be inanimate teachers of sorts. They are designed to allow maximum room for play and movement while being stimulating on a visual and tactile level. An additional indoor play area allows a change in play space on days that the weather doesn’t allow outdoor play.
Our outdoor play areas include jungle gyms, shaded areas for sensory play, and more. These areas are designed to encourage physical play – which is essential for early childhood development – and generally have synthetic grass to prevent allergic reactions. Children are taken outside to play on days with moderate weather conditions to prevent excessive cold or sunburn. Additional safety measures are taken on sunny days.
