We provide primary school learners with all the world-class facilities and equipment you would expect at an independent school. This includes aftercare, school transport, a boarding school, the option of using tablets in class, and modern classrooms and laboratories.

Aftercare

Our aftercare service is available for primary school learners at an additional cost, as stipulated on our fees letter (see Downloads). Learners are accommodated in safe classrooms and playgrounds, and the fees include a freshly prepared meal for lunch, an afternoon snack, and limited homework support.

School transport

Our school transport service is available to learners travelling to and from our school, at an additional cost as stipulated on our fees letter.

Modern classrooms

As a Curro School, we created a safe, modern environment where learners can grow accustomed to learning and working with modern equipment and facilities. Our classrooms are designed to create a feeling of learning through educational decorations, but without causing undue distraction. Classrooms for specialised subjects such as Technology are equipped with the latest technology and tools that provide learners with 21st-century skills and allow them to interact with the learned material through experiments or projects.

We use tablets in class

We aim to embrace 21st-century skills by incorporating the use of tablets class from Grade 6 onwards. Our primary school learners may choose to use these devices, which allows teachers to provide learners with a wealth of information at the touch of a button and prepares them for the workplace of the future.

Boarding school

Our boarding school offers safe accommodation for learners from Grade 5 to Grade 12. With four boarders per room, laundry and housekeeping facilities, comfortable learning areas, and live-in boarding school staff, this is a safe, comforting home away from home. Learners have access to DStv and Wi-Fi, receive well-balanced meals, and are kept safe through strict access control and CCTV cameras.

The school and boarding school work together to ensure that learners are supported academically and emotionally. Therefore, learners receive help with their homework and studies and enjoy planned fun activities every second weekend.

Activity facilities

Our wide variety of activities and events are hosted on state-of-the-art courts and fields – all of the world-class standard you would expect at an independent school. Our sports facilities include an aquatics centre, AstroTurf courts, and a multi-functional centre.

Learning support programme

Learners in our primary school who struggle in specific subject areas may require additional attention in a supportive environment to succeed. As a Curro School our learner support programme provides learners from Grade 1 to Grade 3 with the tools needed to overcome these challenges and succeed in their work. Learners in the support programme are taken from the classroom during the particular subject’s lesson time and return to class afterwards. While they still follow the mainstream curriculum, the lessons are presented in a manner that supports the attention required. The goal is to provide learners with the skills and understanding to succeed without additional attention later on.
