Early drop-off service and aftercare
At our preschool, we accommodate working parents by allowing children to be dropped off early in the morning and they are kept safe and entertained at our aftercare until late in the afternoon. These times can be viewed on our fact sheet.
Our preschool is open during school holidays and we run a full holiday-care programme as part of our school fees. Regular early childhood development activities continue, although we may arrange some extra fun activities during this time. We also accommodate children of visitors, such as family members or tourists, to be entertained at an additional cost. We are closed only for a specified period during December and January.
Teachers have assistants
As a Curro School our classes are divided by age group and each teacher has one or more assistants, depending on the group. As part of our commitment to early childhood development there are more assistants for the younger ones to ensure each child in our small class sizes gets the necessary love and attention.
Registered nurse and strict security measures
Children wholeheartedly run, climb, and play in ways that could sometimes lead to bumps and scrapes. They might also fall ill during the day. This is why we have a registered nurse on-site during the school day, or for certain times during the day. Security measures at our preschool include guarded gates, CCTV monitoring, and proper hand-sanitising protocols. In addition, we maintain strict permission control on who may pick up children during or after the school day. If a parent or guardian is unable to pick up their child, they should call us to inform as such, and provide written confirmation of who will be picking up the child.
As a Curro school, our on-site kitchen is fully equipped to prepare well-balanced, wholesome meals and snacks for children in all age groups. All meals are prepared with fresh ingredients just before being delivered to the classrooms and we carefully accommodate allergies and other dietary requirements.
Indoor and outdoor play areas
Children learn by interacting with the world around them. Therefore, our classrooms themselves are considered to be inanimate teachers of sorts. They are designed to allow maximum room for play and movement while being stimulating on a visual and tactile level. Our classrooms are seen as third teachers of sorts. This is why each element, from the colours of the walls to the layout of the class, is carefully considered.
We encourage children to play
Our outdoor play areas include jungle gyms, playhouses, shaded areas for creative and sensory play, and more. Children in our small class sizes are taken outside to play on days with moderate weather conditions to prevent excessive cold or sunburn. Additional safety measures are taken on sunny days.
