We are open during school holidays and run a full holiday-care programme at no additional cost. We are closed only for a specified period during December and January, and specified dates as reflected on our calendar (or communicated to parents).
Teachers have assistants
As a Curro School, our classes are divided by age group and each teacher has one or more assistants, depending on the age group and number of children in the class. There are often more assistants for the younger ones, all included in the affordable school fees, to ensure that each child in our small class sizes gets the necessary love and attention.
Registered nurse on site
Children wholeheartedly run, climb, and play in ways that could sometimes lead to bumps and scrapes. They might also fall ill during the day. That is why we have a registered nurse on site during the school day to take care of our children. In addition, all our teachers have first-aid training.
We have an on-site kitchen
Our on-site kitchen is fully equipped to prepare well-balanced, wholesome meals for children in all age groups, as part of our affordable school fees. All meals are prepared with fresh ingredients just before being delivered to the classrooms and we carefully accommodate allergies and other dietary requirements. Speak to our teachers to find out how we store and prepare breastmilk and powdered formula too.
Indoor and outdoor play areas
Children learn by interacting with the world around them. As a Curro School, our classrooms themselves are considered to be inanimate teachers of sorts. They are designed to allow maximum room for play and movement, while being stimulating on a visual and tactile level. An additional indoor play area allows a change in play space on days when the weather doesn’t allow for outdoor play.
Our outdoor preschool play areas include jungle gyms, playhouses, shaded areas for creative and sensory play, and more. These areas are designed to encourage physical play, and generally have synthetic grass to prevent allergic reactions. Children are taken outside to play on days with moderate weather conditions to prevent excessive cold or sunburn. Additional safety measures are taken on sunny days.
How do we ensure safety in our school?
As a Curro School, our strict security measures ensure the safety of our children. Access to the campus is restricted through biometric access. Visitors need to sign in to gain access and the number of visitors per class is limited. Children are collected from the classroom.
