Tablets in class
As a Curro School, learners from intermediate phase onwards may choose to use tablets in class rather than textbooks. Using tablets in class allows teachers to provide learners with a wealth of information at the touch of a button and provides them with an enhanced curriculum and greatly valuable 21st-century skills.
As a Curro School, we created a safe, modern environment where learners can grow accustomed to learning and working with modern equipment and facilities. Therefore, classrooms and laboratories for specialised subjects are equipped with the latest technology and tools that provide them with 21st-century skills. Classrooms for enhanced curriculum subjects such as Engineering Graphics and Design or Technology are equipped with tools that allow learners to interact with the learned material through experiments or projects.
Excellent activity facilities
Our wide variety of sports and cultural activities are hosted on state-of-the-art courts and fields, as well as carefully designed studios tailored to the activities’ requirements – all part of our commitment to providing learners with 21st-century skills. Our activity facilities include an aquatics centre with an indoor heated pool, a high-performance centre, world-class AstroTurf fields (with floodlights for evening practice) tennis/netball courts, rugby/soccer fields, a cricket pitch and cricket nets (indoor and outdoor).
Representative Parent Committee (RPC)
We encourage parents to play a role in managing our school through a duly-elected representative parent committee (RPC). As the name indicates, the RPC’s role is strictly to represent parents and to provide advice – they do not make and enforce decisions regarding school matters. The committee comprises of parents of current learners. Our RPC acts as liaison between the school and parents, raise funds through specific events throughout the year and host social and fellowship events. Through the RPC, parents can share their input in a structured manner to the benefit of the learners and school; as a community they can, therefore, be involved in the operational success of the school.
