Our aftercare service is available to pre-primary school children at an additional cost, as stipulated on our school fees letter (see Downloads). As a Curro Select school, children are accommodated in safe classrooms and playgrounds and enjoy the freedom to run and play within their designated areas.
Teachers have assistants
As a Curro Select school, our classes are divided by age group. As part of our commitment to early childhood development, our teachers have teacher’s assistants or teacher interns, depending on the age group and the number of children in our small class sizes.
Teachers have first-aid training Children wholeheartedly run and play, which often leads to minor falls or scrapes. This is why designated teachers have first-aid training.
Indoor and outdoor play areas
Children learn by interacting with the world around them. As a Curro Select school, our classrooms themselves are considered to be inanimate teachers of sorts. Through competitive school fees, these areas are designed to allow maximum room for play and movement while being stimulating on a visual and tactile level – all crucial parts of early childhood development. An additional indoor play area allows a change in play space on days when the weather doesn’t allow outdoor play.
The number of children per class is limited to ensure that we maintain small class sizes.
Our pre-primary school outdoor play areas include jungle gyms, shaded areas for creative and sensory play, and more. These areas are designed to encourage physical play, and generally have synthetic grass to prevent allergic reactions. Children are taken outside to play on days with moderate weather conditions to prevent excessive cold or sunburn.

Our school is located in the quiet Oslo Beach suburb of Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal. Our school is just off the R61, but surrounded by beautiful scenery and easily accessible via Marine Drive. We are conveniently close to many shops and restaurants, and nearby attractions include the Southcoast Mall in Shelly Beach. The South Coast Institute for Learning Development (SCILD) is on our doorstep and the specialist therapists work closely with our teachers. We are also very fortunate to be situated next to the Dezzi Raceway and the Palm Kloof Equestrian Centre, and our school has magnificent sweeping views of the nearby ocean.
