Mackenzie Callen makes waves in Ireland

The talented Mackenzie Callen spent the last few weeks in Belfast Ireland dancing up a storm in the 50th Anniversary Irish World Championships. She placed 4th overall for her age group but also qualified to compete at the Irish dance world championships.

Mackenzie, a Grade 8 learner from Curro Aurora, has been dancing since the age of five and has competed in both solo and team dances. Her ‘figure’ team dance was the first ‘figure’ team from South Africa to ever grace the Irish stage and they achieved excellent results by winning the 1st Irish World Championship title, a real dream come true.
