At Curro Online, our easy-to-follow online learning programme allows learners to use online mediums and lessons to learn from home while still getting the best possible quality online education. Our modern online approach and small class sizes provide learners with an inherent sense of independence and responsibility, while preparing them for the workplace of the future. All live lessons with teachers are recorded, and the recordings along with supportive material are included in the affordable school fees, along with all required software licences.
How does online learning work?
At our online school, learners enjoy live lessons with teachers on MS Teams, as scheduled according to a structured timetable. All lessons are recorded, and learners can access digital material and recorded lessons online at any time of day. These lessons take place in small groups and teachers track learners’ progress on a daily basis. Teachers also provide feedback as required.
Learners are required to keep their camera on at all times, so that teachers can engage with learners in a personal manner, and to notice when their attention wavers. Teachers may also respond to questions sent through private messages during the lesson, or answer a question to the whole class if others struggle as well. Assignments and examinations are conducted online through platforms that ensure authenticity and honesty from the learner. Teachers remain closely involved in the process, and can provide the same level of personalised feedback that learners would have received in an in-class environment.
What are the benefits of online learning?
The greatest benefits of learning are as follows:
Is online learning meant for my child?
Curro Online is the right choice for your family if the following rings true:
How does online learning prepare my child for the workplace?
The COVID-19 pandemic forced companies to find creative ways of keeping their business from coming to a complete halt. Where possible, employees were asked to work from home if their roles and responsibilities allowed. Employees who were already familiar with online platforms such as Skype, Zoom, or MS Teams, found it easier than others to adopt a new way of working and they were able to complete their work at the same speed and quality as they would have in the office. When industries started opening again, companies found that they could save significant overhead costs by allowing capable employees to keep working from home, and doing so has even become a negotiable expectation for some employees.
Learning online operates similarly to working from home. Learners communicate, submit work, and collaborate solely on online platforms, and they have to meet deadlines without much external motivation. Online learning helps them develop the self-discipline and dedication to hard work needed to start working by their own accord and meet deadlines.
