Learner from Curro Midrand Halfway Gardens holds many beauty titles
01 November 2021Sasha Morgan is a confident and cheerful 13-year-old girl with big dreams.
The Midrand learner holds beauty titles – including Mini Miss Teen South Africa 2021 and Mini Miss Teen Universe South Africa 2021. She attends Curro Midrand Halfway Gardens Campus and wants to be an otolaryngologist (ear, nose and throat doctor).
She also plays the violin, bakes and is very athletic. She said, “I started modelling at the age of four and have won many titles. I want to take part in Miss South Africa one day.”
Her proud mother, Rochelle, said her daughter wanted to use the Miss SA title to increase awareness about helping those less fortunate. “She is with Vogue modeling school which is owned by Valerie Begbie and we have seen her confidence grow so much,” she added.
Speaking about Sasha’s achievements, Curro Midrand faculty head of arts, Kristen van Lelyveld said, “She is a recipient of an academic bursary for high school at Curro Sagewood, has received a number of awards including top achiever awards every term and awards at the school’s public speaking evenings, as well as the senior athletics victor ludorum trophy.”

Chief executive officer of Africa Pageants and Pageants SA, Carolyn Botha said, “We are proud of Sasha. The day before winning Mini Miss Teen South Africa 2021, she also won the titles of Miss Petite Teen South Africa 1st Princess, as well as Miss Petite Teen World South Africa 2021 at the Miss and Mr Junior South Africa pageant… all these titles also enable her to attend the international pageants.”
Botha added that Sasha would represent South Africa in Miss Teen Universe and Miss Teen World.
