Andries joined the company in 2007 as financial director. In 2011, when Bernardt van der Linde was appointed financial director of Curro, Andries’s role changed to that of chief operating officer. He stepped into his current position in 2017.
Chief Financial Officer
Cobus left his position as Long4Life’s Sport and Recreation division CEO at the end of last year to join Curro as CFO from January 2021. He started his career at KPMG, served as financial manager at Virgin Active SA, and held the CFO position at Holdsport CFO for 11 years, before joining Long4Life.
Bernardt van der Linde
Chief Operating Officer
Bernardt heads up the Curro DigiEd, Online, Select Schools and Curro Private Colleges. He was an audit manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, after which he joined Finweek. He joined the PSG Group in 2007, where he was part of the executive team at Paladin (now PSG Alpha Investments). He joined Curro as CFO in 2011 and has moved on to his current position in October 2020.
Executive: Corporate Services
Marí runs marketing and communications nationally and provides support for the company secretarial role. She established Curro Create, Curro’s national creative initiative. Through various national projects, Curro Create helps learners to develop their creative skills to their full potential.
André has been with the group for over a decade and provides expertise in operational, curriculum, and quality management. He spearheads curriculum management, delivery and implementation across our eight brands.
Executive: Human Resources
Bev joined Curro to head its Human Resources Department, having previously built a strong background in labour relations, performance management, succession planning and change management.
Executive: Business Manager
Shaun is the business manager for the Curro Schools and Curro Castle Nursery Schools models. He has over 35 years’ experience in education, gained at some of South Africa’s most exceptional schools, which is of immense benefit in this role. His career at Curro began when he was appointed as Grantleigh's executive head. He later moved into education management as general manager of our KZN-based schools – a role he maintains along with his executive duties.
Executive: Business Operations
Fergus was appointed at Curro in January 2018 to head up the Curro Meridian Schools and the Curro Academy Schools. The Meridian Schools are managed in terms of an arrangement with Old Mutual.
Executive: Strategic Relations
Natasha has experience in brand development as well as integrated marketing communications across leading FMCG and retail brands. She has many accomplishments, but her more recent achievements, is moving the share of voice of Curro from 14% to 40% within the first two years of joining the company as brand manager. Another goal she achieved, is studying towards and obtaining her MBA while working full time and being a mom with a family.
