At Meridian Nursery we thrive on instilling values, morals and discipline through routine from a young age. Our main aim is to build each child's confidence so that they are able to develop an enquiring mind.
At our nursery school we strive to make every day a learning day, filled with new and wonderful experiences to help young children find what interests and inspires them.
Meridian Pinehurst Nursery school is a place where play is valued, voices are singing, children are engaged in creative movement and music making, artistic expression is celebrated and the academic programme is stimulating and fun.
Our mission is to guide your children with compassion through appropriate and meaningful quality education in partnership with you, their parents or guardians. The strength of our faith and our commitment to excellence and diversity take us beyond the classroom.
We have created a space where children can be cherished with love and prepared for the world outside by qualified educators.

We invite you and your child to come and experience our nursery school today.
Our babies are taken special care of by ladies with hearts of gold. There is an educator, with the help of two assistants for a class of 18 Cherubs.
The toddler group is divided into three classes due to the development being so vast in the 12 months to 30-month age group. These classes roll over to the next group during the year as they have reached their specific milestones. Roll overs take place termly.
The Group 1.5 has a maximum of 18, Group 2 consists of 20 children and the Group 2.5s fills up during the year to a maximum of 25 children. An educator and two assistants are responsible for a full class.
Our more independent 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds have 25 children in a class, each with an educator and an assistant.
Communication between a parent and educator is vital. Thus, besides an open-door policy, we also send daily feedback for the Group 1 to 3 classes, and three reports during the year, for all the ages.
The early learning goals for the pre-primary child
Meridian Pinehurst Nursery school aims to inspire young minds to become extraordinary through the unique Curro nursery school curriculum. Our preschool curriculum is designed with Early Learning Goals in mind:
We focus on:
At Meridian Pinehurst Nursery school, we strive to optimise learning by young brains and to capitalise on the potential for learning that children have from a young age. We therefore pay special attention to the theories of teaching and the science behind how we develop to ensure that our children receive the best education possible.
Children extend their boundaries of understanding by working to find solutions in an environment where dialogue between educators and children keeps them motivated, stimulating their creativity while developing their cognitive abilities. The curriculum includes LEGO Education learning concepts, and the activities built around soft bricks form the important early foundations for later robotics studies.
At Meridian Pinehurst Nursery school the emphasis is on the uniqueness of each child. According to the school's philosophy, every child is regarded as a competent learner from birth. We know that children develop and learn in different ways and at different paces. All areas of development and learning are equally important and inter-connected.
Our classes are conducted in English and follow weekly-themed programmes. Even the smallest baby is exposed to our themes by means of songs and rhymes.
