Foundation phase Grade 1 to Grade 3
In Grade 1 to Grade 3 we focus on teaching the basic skills, concepts and knowledge required for further learning. We offer a calm, invitational atmosphere where learners enjoy coming to school and where they acquire a love for learning that will sustain them throughout their school years.
Our dedicated teachers and on-site support team go to great lengths to help young learners adjust to school. Our classrooms are designed to promote serenity and minimise distraction, while our daily school times and schedules remain consistent throughout the year. Thereby, we create a great sense of security for learners prone to emotional or anxiety-related needs.
Intermediate phase: Grade 4 to Grade 6 (and Grade 7)
In these grades, the emphasis is still on establishing basic foundations, but learners are led into more abstract thought and independent work. We prepare learners for high school by teaching them how to apply the skills and concepts they have learned. We also promote creativity and critical thinking by encouraging them to make their own choices within well-established boundaries.
New learning material is taught by making connections to existing knowledge – learners often understand new material easier when they can associate it with something they have already mastered or experienced.
