Culture is one of the foundational pillars of developing a well-balanced learner. At Curro Century City, learners are offered the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of cultural activities, from choir to drama. In this way, learners can develop a love for art, regardless of their abilities in sport or academics.

The focus of the music department is to instil a love, joy and understanding of music through hands-on experience, with class lessons incorporating practical and theoretical tuition.

We have six customised individual music rooms available for extramural music lessons.

The extramural music school includes private training offered by guest tutors in the following disciplines:

  • Piano
  • Violin
  • Guitar
  • Drums
  • Flute
  • Recorder
  • Clarinet
  • Individual singing

We currently have a junior, senior and an ensemble choir. The learners are constantly preparing for various performances that are held throughout the year. We regularly visit the Oasis Care Centre in Century City and sing for the residents.

The drama department offers learners an opportunity to explore the performing arts in a safe space. Drama skills and performance techniques are covered during lessons, with a focus on enjoyment and self-expression.

All learners attend specialised art lessons in our art studios. Painting, printing, drawing, moulding, designing, experimenting, weaving and threading are some of our activities in the studio.

Other activities offered by private tutors/coaches held on Curro Century City premises:

  • Ballet
  • Born to Dance
  • Experi-Buddies
  • Private music lessons
  • Mosaic
