At Curro Westbrook, a Curro School, learners have a wide variety of activities from which to choose. From school sports and Curro Create programmes, to community outreach initiatives, our learners can gain 21st-century skills in almost any field they choose.
We believe that participation in school sports and cultural activities plays an important role in promoting health, team-awareness, discipline and self-confidence, in addition to physical and social well-being. Therefore, learners are encouraged to participate in our variety of school sports and cultural activities. While healthy competition is encouraged, the enjoyment of the game is not compromised.

As a Curro School, we offer Curro Create programmes aimed at helping learners develop their creative talents to their full potential. Curro Arts Superhero (CAS) is an internal creative mentorship platform with a grading element, in which learners are encouraged to discover, develop and display their inherent 21st-century skills and creative talents. Learners can also participate in the annual Curro Create National Youth Theatre Festival, for which schools enter a one-act play in any genre and official language. The winning plays are chosen through a series of adjudications by world-class theatre-makers, who closely mentor learners throughout the process.
Most extramural activities at our Curro School are offered by external tutors or coaches, but piano, guitar and violin are offered by our music teachers. These are offered at an additional cost and generally take place on the school’s premises. Some extramural activities are aimed at improving or supporting academic learning, or mental and physical development, while others are purely recreational.
Our school also has several clubs, such as the Minecraft club, interact club (Curro Cares), and the drone and robotics club, which allow learners with similar interests to build relationships, develop 21st-century skills and collaborate in various projects.
Curro Westbrook community outreach
At Curro Westbrook, we believe that community outreach programmes are important not only to benefit the community, but also to develop appreciation and empathy in our learners. Therefore, we host various community outreach programmes during the year and learners are actively involved in all areas of the projects.
