At Curro Heritage House, we pride ourselves on providing learners with a well-rounded education that stretches beyond the classroom. That’s why we offer a focused variety of sports and cultural activities that range from fun and recreational to competitive and specialised (such as Curro Create). Several of these activities are included in our school fees, while others may be offered at an additional cost.
As a Curro School, we believe that sports play an important role in promoting friendship, team-awareness and self-confidence in addition to physical well-being. These activities are generally offered as part of our school fees, unless otherwise stated. Furthermore, while healthy competition is encouraged, the enjoyment of the game is not compromised.
Culture is one of the foundational pillars of developing a well-balanced learner and plays a fundamental role in building a sustainable and vibrant community. Our learners have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of cultural activities, regardless of their interests and abilities in sport or academics. Cultural activities are generally offered as part of our school fees, unless otherwise stated.
Furthermore, cultural activities expose learners to aspects of personal development that few other areas of learning are able to – these include 21st-century skills such as presentation skills, proper thought articulation and self-confidence.
We offer two Curro Create programmes aimed at helping learners develop their creative talents to their full potential: Curro Arts Superhero (CAS) is an internal creative mentorship platform with a grading element, where learners are encouraged to discover, develop and display their inherent creative talents. Learners can also participate in the annual Curro Create National Youth Theatre Festival, for which schools enter a one-act play in any genre and official language. The winning plays are chosen through a series of adjudications by world-class theatre-makers, who closely mentor learners throughout the process.
Our community programmes
As a Curro School, we believe that outreach programmes are important not only to benefit the community, but also to develop appreciation and empathy in our learners. Therefore, we involve our learners in several community drives and outreach programmes.
Curro Heritage House alumni
Curro Alumni aims to reconnect former matriculants with one another and keep them updated on developments within the Curro family. By treasuring our past, we can build our future together. We hope to build a meaningful and personal connection with our members by sharing their success stories and staying updated on their lives through social media.
Alumni members enjoy several benefits, including exclusive offers for their children at selected schools. View Curro Alumni’s website for more information.
