Curro Castle The Blyde

Curro Castle The Blyde is an independent nursery school next to The Blyde Lifestyle Estate, Pretoria East, that provides high-quality early childhood development for children from 3 years to 5 years. Our small class sizes allow our dedicated teachers to engage each child in our internally developed play-based curriculum and to build strong, caring relationships with each child, at affordable school fees.

What does Curro Castle The Blyde offer?

At Curro Castle The Blyde, we provide a safe, nurturing environment where children are cared for and engaged in play-based developmental activities. Through affordable school fees, our classrooms are designed to encourage educational curiosity, while our playgrounds are equipped with play structures that inspire physical development through movement and play. Our small class sizes are divided by age group, which allows our teachers to spend quality time with each child.

How does Curro Castle The Blyde support my child’s development?

At our nursery school, our internally developed programme is designed with the Early Learning and Development Areas (ELDAs) in mind. This approach to early childhood development aims to stimulate physical, social, emotional and cognitive well-being through developmental activities and engaging play areas. ELDAs focus on aspects such as gross-motor development, fine-motor development, social awareness, communication, spatial awareness and arts.

We focus on early childhood development through the ELDAs

We incorporate the latest research in physical and cognitive development. We aim to provide affordable school fees and small class sizes and our carefully designed playgrounds, safety measures and daily programmes make our nursery school a safe and fun-filled home away from home.

Curro Castle The Blyde activities

At Curro Castle The Blyde, we believe that participation in extramural activities plays an important role in early childhood development. Our daily programme is packed with a variety of physical and cognitive activities where children play while they learn. Extramural activities are offered as additional opportunities to strengthen focused areas or hone certain skills. Our extramural activities are offered by external tutors or coaches at an additional cost and take place on the school’s premises.
