Cultural activities offered:
Foundation phase: Grades R to 3
Culture is one of the foundational pillars of developing a well-balanced learner. At Meridian Rustenburg, learners are offered the opportunity to participate in a variety of cultural activities.
At Meridian we don’t just dance. We perform, breathe and watch the world disappear. Feelings can be released and struggling walls can be torn down. There is no sadness, only smiles.
We don’t just dance, we do so much more.
Meridian Rustenburg primary school choir is made up of many talented boys and girls. Daleen Roux and all learners come together every Wednesday to practise and use their God-given talents to perform for the school and in front of various audiences.
Public speaking (Small Talk) is an initiative that involves the Grade R to Grade 3 learners. Our aim is to help learners to speak in front of audiences informally without being afraid. In return, this will help to build their confidence and self-esteem as a public speaker as they grow into their teenage years. As they go into adulthood they will be confident in public speaking.
Land Service is a youth movement that has the conservation of the environment as its main goal. The aim of Land Service is to appreciate and conserve our environment, foster traditional values, enrich learners spiritually and develop talents. Land Service is open to every youngster in South Africa who is older than six years and who subscribes to the goals of the movement.
