Best individual sport achievement girl

Ju-Ané Oberholzer – Swimming:   Participated AUSC region 5 under 20 Youth Games – obtained a 4th place in 200 m backstroke.

Represented Namibia in CANA Zone IV in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.


Best individual sport achievement boy

Karl Jacobie – Canoe Polo – Qualified for the World Championships in 2018. Canoe sprinting: He was part of the talent identification programme of the International Canoe Federation whose goal is to prepare talented sprinters for the 2010 Olympic Games.

He participated in the junior and under 21 World Sprinting Championships in Minsk, Belarus. He was awarded as the best upcoming sprinter on world level.

He participated in the ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup 2 in Szeged, Hundary and in the Canoe Sprint 3 in Belgrade, Serbia.


Sportswoman of the year

Jeani Holz – Played for the NHU under 18 field hockey team in Zimbabwe.

Selected SA invitational field hockey team to play tournaments in France and the Netherlands.

Selected for the FIH Indoor World Cup for hockey in 2018.


Sportsman of the year

Nico Horn – National athletics and obtained a gold medal in javelin. Selected for the region 5 under 20 Youth Games in Angola.   Part of the school’s first rugby team who won the Momentum National Super League under 19.  Part of the school’s first team who won the Momentum National Cricket League in 2016.
