Foundation phase: Grade 1 to Grade 3
In Grade 1 to Grade 3 we focus on teaching the basic skills, concepts and knowledge required for further learning. We offer a vibrant, invitational atmosphere where learners enjoy coming to school and where they acquire a love for learning that will sustain them throughout their school years. The three main learning areas are language, mathematics and life skills that include creative arts and physical education. We also create opportunities for personal growth so that learners can become personally responsible and accountable for their actions in the intermediate phase.
Learners can take English, Afrikaans or German and they further benefit from having Music and Coding as subjects.
Intermediate phase (Grade 4 to Grade 6) and Grade 7
In these grades, the emphasis is still on establishing basic foundations, but learners are led into more abstract thought and independent work. We prepare them for high school by teaching them how to apply the skills and concepts they have learned. We also promote creativity and critical thinking by encouraging children to make their own choices within well-established boundaries.
Learners are taught will self-prepared, updated notebooks and workbooks, as well as interactive boards in the classrooms. This further helps to prepare learners for the ever-changing realities of university and the workplace of the future. Some of our specialised subjects include Science and Technology (with Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, where learners program drones and robots) as well as Information Technology and Coding and learners may choose to take English, Afrikaans or German as language options.
We have an online school option
Learners from Grade 4 onwards may enrol for our online school option. Rather than attend physical classes, learners can learn from home through pre-recorded online lessons by teachers and online or physical learning materials. Learners can be in touch with their teachers regularly, and opportunities for socialising are weaved into the programme through team work. All examinations will still be written at school, although continuous assessment may occur online.
