Your child’s home away from home: Magic Beings nursery school

With small class sizes, teacher’s assistants per age group and an all-inclusive fee structure (even including your choice of baby formula), we provide a holistic development programme that stretches beyond the classroom.

We focus on the ELDAs

As a Curro Select school, we follow  a programme built around the Early Learning and Development Areas (ELDAs). Classes are divided based on age, and each age group follows a weekly theme with age-appropriate activities that stimulate physical, social, emotional, and cognitive well-being.

We accommodate newborns

Our baby class (Group 1) is equipped with sound-and-movement monitors in each cot, teachers are trained in baby massage, and newborn babies are measured, weighed and monitored weekly by our registered nurse. With a dedicated teacher (or assistant) for every two newborn babies – and a baby clinic opening soon – we ensure that babies are held and loved just like they would be at home.

Children learn while having fun

Children thrive in an environment where they can play and have fun (while learning along the way) within an age-appropriate routine. Activities range from tactile play (which is often messy – all the more fun for little ones), free outdoor play, listening to or making music, storytelling, and lots of physical and sensory-based play – all aimed at the holistic development of the child.

We are a feeder school for Cooper College

The older groups’ programme is designed to integrate with the Cambridge Assessment International Education system, which is followed at Cooper College, a Curro Select school with which we are affiliated. Still undecided? Have a look at our website or contact us at info.magicbeings@curro.co.za – we’ll gladly answer all your questions.
