With small class numbers, excellent facilities, a variety of activities and an excellent academic programme, Curro Mount Richmore provides learners from 3 months to Grade 12 with an holistic education that develops learners into well-rounded individuals.
The school’s learners, teachers and parents become a family, working together to turn learners into confident achievers.
Situated in the heart of Salt Rock, the school offers something for everyone – from robotics, chess, and virtual reading programmes in primary school to songwriting, golf and advanced programme mathematics in high school.
These interests are accommodated in modern classrooms, a culture studio and state-of-the art sport courts and fields.
Learners even participate in national robotics competitions.
The Curro Castle is designed to allow maximum room for play and movement.
Curro firmly believes in maintaining a healthy balance between academics and cultural activities to promote team awareness, discipline and self-confidence.
Curro learners are encouraged to participate in many activities which enrich their life skills.
The school’s annual art exhibitions, talent shows and school plays provide learners with skills such as public speaking, articulation of ideas and accepting praise and healthy criticism.
From preschool to high school
Learners’ education starts in the “Castle”, where young learners benefit from programmes based on play and creativity.
It provides quality early childhood development, but focuses on holistic early learning and development areas rather than overhyped milestones.
Primary school learners are then guided to become comfortable with a more formal learning environment without losing their curiosity or limiting personal growth.
Learners are encouraged to participate in a variety of school sports and cultural activities.
In high school, learners adapt to greater workloads of higher intensity and are prepared for the eventual IEB examinations in Grade 12, although emphasis is placed on ‘world readiness’ rather than a purely examinations-driven approach.
As our school family grows in numbers, the influence of teachers and the school psychologist are integral to providing each learner with the opportunity to shine in every aspect of the school environment.
The staff’s dedication encourages every learner to fulfil his or her passion.
