Creston College 2020 dux learner
Creston College held ‘Covid-compliant’ prizegiving and valedictory ceremonies for its matric class of 2020 recently.
During the grade 12 Valedictory Assembly pupils were treated to a short music-video presentation, put together by Emily Wyatt-Minter, highlighting some of the special moments that the grade 12s have shared over the past few years.
Rob Wyatt-Minter welcomed the executive head, Noel Coetzee who gave his valedictory address.
Head prefect, Braden Steyn closed in prayer after which the class of 2020 sang the national anthem.
Debbie Lambourn explained the significance of the bell-ringing ceremony and all the grade 12s rang the bell twice, followed by the two heads of school, who rang the bell three times to signify the end of an era.
Each matric learner signed the book and collected their tie, scarf or both and then proceeded to ring the bell.
Luné Arlow was named dux for 2020.
She has also achieved academic honours, along with merit certificates in accountancy, Afrikaans, English, life orientation, life sciences, mathematics, and physical sciences.
