Intersen phase: Grades 4 to 7
Curro Heritage House offers a wide variety of sporting codes to learners from the foundation phase through to the high school. These sports take place throughout the year.

Being an inner-city school, Curro Heritage House makes use of sports fields and facilities to cater for our sporting needs. These include Growthpoint Stadium sports fields, Collegians sports field, Hoy Park and Sutton Park pool.

In the intersen phase, we make use of Growthpoint Stadium sports fields for all our major sports. We use Hoy Park netball courts during and Sutton Park pool for swimming. We travel to play in the inter-school leagues that are hosted by other schools.

Learners participate in various inter-school leagues as well as pre-organised sports fixtures.

Our learners are entered for inter-school leagues and participate in fixtures on a competitive level.

In 2016, we implemented a compulsory sporting code whereby each learner commits to one sport per semester. It develops a sense of pride in the school, builds tradition and team spirit and offers each learner an opportunity to lead a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

Other activities offered by private tutors/coaches held on Curro Heritage House premises:

  • Ballet
  • Modern dancing
  • Hip-hop
  • Contemporary dancing
  • Soccer
