Curro Academy The Blyde
Curro Academy The Blyde is an independent school in The Blyde Lifestyle Estate, Pretoria East that opened in January 2020. We provide high-quality early childhood development for children from 3 months to Grade R with higher grades phasing in. Our small class sizes allow our dedicated teachers to engage each child in our internally developed play-based curriculum and to build strong, caring relationships with each child.
What do we offer?
At Curro Academy The Blyde, we lay the foundation for your child’s future social and academic life by incorporating play in stimulating, developmental activities such as creative movement and artistic expression. By involving you as parents in your child’s learning experience, we provide a holistic development programme at affordable fees that stretches beyond the classroom.
By incorporating the latest research in physical and cognitive development, our playgrounds, safety measures and daily programmes create a safe and fun-filled home away from home.
Which activities do we offer?
We believe that participation in extramural activities plays an important role in promoting friendship and self-confidence in addition to physical and social well-being. Many of our activities are designed to help learners learn valuable skills that require more time for development than can be provided during the daily programme.
How do we ensure safety in our school?
Although our school is situated in a gated estate, we implement strict security measures to ensure our children’s safety. Our gated entrances are monitored by security guards and CCTV cameras and visitors sign in to gain access. Children are collected from the classroom or aftercare centre and are signed in and out daily to ensure that they remain safe and accounted for.
