What do we offer?
At Curro Academy Pretoria, we offer a high-quality curriculum at affordable school fees, along with a wide variety of activities and subjects. Our controlled class sizes and enriched curriculum provide learners with an inherent dedication to hard work and excellence as well as 21st-century skills to prepare them for the workplace of the future. To that end, our learners use tablets in the classrooms from Grade 8 – while still having the option to purchase textbooks.
Our dedicated teachers give learners personal attention in the classroom, which helps to ensure that they achieve to the best of their abilities. We also offer value-added programmes as part of the school fees, that include character-building programmes, career guidance and entrepreneurship skills. Our learners further benefit from having Sepedi as a conversational language from Grades 1 to 4 and as first additional language from Grade 8.
Which activities do we offer?
We believe that participation in sports and cultural activities plays an important role in promoting health, team-awareness, discipline and self-confidence. Many of our activities are designed to help learners discover their inherent talents, or to broaden their exposure beyond their current reference framework. In addition, these activities often enhance learners’ academic performance due to the skills and self-confidence they gain. These activities are generally included in the school fees.
How do we use technology in the classroom?
Learners from Grade 8 onwards benefit from 21st-century learning by using e-learning devices (e-books) rather than textbooks. Using innovative technology allows teachers to provide a wealth of information at the touch of a button and better prepares learners for the workplace of the future.
Classrooms for subjects such as Technology and Engineering Graphics and Design are fitted with state-of-the-art tools and equipment to ensure that learners learn skills that are current in the workplace.
