Congratulations to Mr Phil Snyman who has been appointed as the Curro Sitari Executive Head.
Mr. Snyman studied a BA and HED at Stellenbosch and then completed his Masters Degree in Educational Management at the University of the Free State. He has taught at various schools around the country and was Chief Examiner for Grade 12 Geography in the Northern Cape Province and Deputy Principal of Northern Cape High in Kimberley. He left teaching for a while to pursue a business career, but his love for children and teaching brought him back in January 2004 when he was appointed at Curro Durbanville . In 2010, he was appointed as the Operational Head at Curro Durbanville before his appointment as the first Executive Head of Meridian Pinehurst in January 2013.
Mr. Snyman is a family man and is very proud of his family. He and his wife Marlene have two children. A son, Stiaan, who lives in Somerset West and a daughter, Jean-Marí, who lives in Johannesburg. He has 2 grandchildren whom he loves dearly.
Mr. Snyman is very involved in teacher training and leadership development and is passionate about his work. He loves children, which is why he enjoys his work so much.
His motto in life: “If you can dream it, you can do it”.
Mr. Snyman says: “I believe in an “Open Door” policy. I am a devoted Christian with strong morals and values. I believe in strict but fair discipline and in the holistic development of learners. I love sport, and spending time with my family. I am looking forward to building a strong relationship with the school and business community of the Helderberg and surrounds. Curro Sitari promises to equip their learners with 21st Century teaching skills which are crucial if they want to be ready for tertiary studies and the world of work and life in general”.
