Curro Langebaan therefore strives to prepare learners for a fast-changing world where they will be able to take their places after matric as worthy citizens of our country.
Curro Langebaan is registered with the IEB (Independent Examinations Board), which offers our Grade 12s the opportunity to write a credible national exam at the end of their final year. Learners are prepared from Grade 7 to fulfil the requirements of this examination and to achieve maximum results.

Subject choices in Grades 10:
It is compulsory for learners to take two languages and one of these must be the language of teaching and learning.  Life Orientation is compulsory.  At Curro Langebaan learners can choose one subject from each of the following seven groups:

  • Afrikaans addisionele taal (tweede taal)

GROUP 2

  • English home language (first language)
  • English additional language (second language)

GROUP 3

  • Access to the internet for research purposes
  • Continuous assessment in the form of tasks, projects and class tests twice a week

  • Quarterly parents' evenings to keep parents up to date and to discuss learners’ progress
  • Regular communication with parents if learners experience problems, and information on how to deal with these situations
