Land Service

Land Service is a movement across South Africa where we focus mainly on four pillars: love for our Creator, neighbours, labour and nature. We have Land Service on a Wednesday, where we do activities to promote the four pillars. We go on outings and learn to look after nature. We recycle and try to make our school eco-friendly. We go on hiking trails and camps. At our camps, we choose members to attend the regional camps, which take place during the June holidays. From there a member can also be chosen for the national camps, which are held in December. All learners from Grades 1 to 12 are allowed to do Land Service and from Grade 6 onwards are allowed to attend regional camps. A member can also be awarded Springbok colours for Land Service.

This year Land Service is 100 years old and we are celebrating it with a big national camp in Stellenbosch.

Landsdiens
